Juxtaposition - or the placing of two or more sources of
media, seemingly unrelated, together to create a new
reality. In the case of 'As Illustrated', I combine the
forms of an avatar (the figure) with World War II
propaganda posters and recordings from a gospel radio
station to express the overwhelming bombardment of western
media...
